Call (775) 230-1116 Request QuoteDiver + ROV = The Right Tool for Every Job
Lake Tahoe commercial diving demands a strategic approach. Some jobs require the precision and tactile feedback only a diver can provide. Others need the depth capability and extended bottom time of an ROV. Most complex projects benefit from both. We deploy whichever method — or combination — gets your project done safely, efficiently, and right the first time.
🤿 When We Send Divers
Certified commercial divers excel at hands-on work in Lake Tahoe's shallow to mid-depth range — typically under 100 feet where dexterity and manual problem-solving matter most.
- Hull cleaning and in-water maintenance
- Underwater construction and repairs
- Salvage operations requiring rigging and lifting
- Debris removal and environmental cleanup
- Hands-on mooring installation and repair
- Pier and dock structural assessment
🤖 When We Deploy ROV
Our 4K Shark ROV handles deep water, hazardous conditions, extended surveys, and situations where live video documentation or rapid data collection is essential.
- Deep-water inspections beyond safe diving depth
- Water intake pipe and infrastructure surveys
- Search and recovery in deep or hazardous areas
- Environmental monitoring and species surveys
- Post-storm damage assessment across large areas
- High-definition video documentation for engineering or insurance
Commercial Diving Services
Salvage & Recovery
When vessels sink, equipment goes overboard, or valuable items are lost underwater, time matters. We respond quickly with the right equipment and experience to recover what others can't.
- Sunken vessel salvage — Boats, PWCs, sailboats
- Equipment recovery — Engines, outdrives, props, electronics
- Personal items — Jewelry, phones, cameras, keys
- Deep-water recovery — ROV capability to 500 feet
- Post-storm cleanup — Debris removal after major wind events
Hull Cleaning & Maintenance
Regular underwater maintenance keeps boats performing efficiently and protects against Tahoe's unique challenges. We provide comprehensive in-water services without the cost and hassle of haul-outs.
- Hull cleaning — Remove algae, biofilm, and debris
- Running gear inspection — Props, shafts, rudders, thru-hulls
- Zinc anode replacement — Corrosion protection
- Pre-season inspections — Identify issues before launch
- Pre-purchase surveys — Underwater condition assessment
Infrastructure Inspection
Underwater infrastructure requires regular assessment to ensure safety and compliance. Our divers and ROV provide detailed documentation of condition, damage, and maintenance needs.
- Pier and dock inspections — Pilings, footings, structural integrity
- Water intake pipes — Municipal and resort systems
- Marina infrastructure — Breakwaters, seawalls, mooring fields
- Dam and reservoir inspections — Safety compliance surveys
- Environmental monitoring — Aquatic species, water quality, sediment
Emergency Response
Underwater emergencies don't wait for business hours. We maintain 24/7 availability for urgent situations — salvage, recovery, and damage assessment when you need it most.
- 24/7 emergency dispatch — Call any time, day or night
- Rapid mobilization — On-site within hours for urgent jobs
- Post-storm assessment — Evaluate damage after Washoe Zephyr events
- Immediate verbal findings — Know what you're dealing with on-site
- Insurance documentation — HD video and written reports
Why Lake Tahoe Commercial Diving Is Different
❄️ Cold Water Operations
Lake Tahoe's water temperature ranges from 40°F in winter to low 60s in late summer. Extended dives require proper thermal protection, gas planning, and cold-water dive protocols that many recreational divers don't have experience with.
⛰️ High Altitude Diving
At 6,225 feet elevation, Lake Tahoe requires altitude diving certification and modified dive tables. Nitrogen off-gassing behaves differently at altitude — divers without proper training risk serious decompression illness.
💎 Crystal Clarity + Deep Depths
Tahoe's legendary clarity is both a blessing and a hazard. Divers can see to extreme depths, making it easy to exceed safe limits. Our commercial divers are trained to work within strict depth and time parameters regardless of visibility.
📋 TRPA and Environmental Compliance
Lake Tahoe operates under strict TRPA regulations. Commercial diving work — especially infrastructure inspections, salvage operations, and environmental monitoring — must comply with agency standards for water quality protection, species disturbance, and reporting. We understand these requirements and handle all necessary documentation and permitting.

How We Work
Every commercial project starts with a conversation about scope, timeline, and budget. Here is our typical process from inquiry to completion.
1. Initial Consultation
We discuss your project — what needs to be done, when, and any special requirements or constraints. We ask about access, depth, bottom conditions, environmental concerns, and documentation needs.
2. Site Assessment & Proposal
For larger projects, we conduct an on-site assessment to evaluate conditions and confirm scope. We then provide a detailed proposal with timeline, methodology, deliverables, and pricing.
3. Permitting & Compliance
If your project requires TRPA or other agency permits, we handle coordination and documentation. Most routine work (hull cleaning, mooring maintenance) requires no permitting.
4. Execution & Documentation
We deploy divers, ROV, or both as appropriate. All work is documented with HD video, still images, and written notes. You receive immediate verbal findings on-site and comprehensive reports within 48 hours.
What Our Commercial Clients Say
